This is the 2nd Annual Fed Up! International Overdose Awareness Day event. This event is in remembrance of those we have lost and a call for Federal Action to this issue. Last year we asked that President Obama speak about this epidemic, several weeks after the Fed Up! Local Rallies he did finally speak on this issue. This year we are asking that Congress provide mandatory/emergency federal funding for treatment with the CARA Act that was just signed by our President. The overdose deaths are expected to increase this year as they have every year. We need to remember those who have lost their lives to this horrible epidemic and give their families a way to honor each person.
